About the set

Destined Rivals released on May 30, 2025 as the Scarlet and Violet expansion built around Team Rocket. It runs 244 cards, 182 in the main set plus 62 secret rares, and draws on the Japanese Hot Wind Arena subset, the Glory of the Rocket Gang expansion and two ex Starter Sets.

Trainer's Pokemon are the hook. More than 85 of them appear: Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex under Giovanni's command, Cynthia's Garchomp ex, Ethan's Ho-Oh ex and Arven's Mabosstiff ex lead the way, with 17 Pokemon ex in the set and 10 of those Trainer's Pokemon ex. Team Rocket accounts for 83 cards on its own, including more than 45 Team Rocket's Pokemon, and Giovanni and the Team Rocket Admins turn up as Supporter cards.

More than 45 cards carry special illustrations, among them 23 Illustration Rares and 11 Special Illustration Rares, and six gold etched Hyper Rares close the set. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex appears at four rarities: Double Rare at 81, Ultra Rare at 213, Special Illustration Rare at 231 and Hyper Rare at 240.

This blister is the cheapest way to get a guaranteed named card alongside a pack, so it suits a collector who wants the Skeledirge line for certain rather than hoping for it. A single booster pack is the pure gamble. The Booster Bundle is six packs and nothing else. The Elite Trainer Box carries nine packs plus the Team Rocket's Wobbuffet full-art promo that is exclusive to it, and a 36-pack Booster Display is the way to open the set in volume.
