2026 Panini Obsidian Football Hobby Box

This year's Obsidian box holds seven dark chromium cards, and on average four of them are autographs or memorabilia, with only two base cards or base parallels. Panini no longer holds the NFL license, so the 2026 checklist is built around former pros and current college players, and the cards do not carry official NFL team names or logos.

Those are averages, not a promise for any single box, and which players you get is random. The box itself calls out two insert sets as ultra rare: Black Color Blast and Black Stained Glass. Checklist guides class Black Color Blast, Black Stained Glass and the Black Stained Glass Duals as case hits, and a four card Black Color Blast Dual set sits alongside them. No odds have been published for any of them.

About the set

2026 Panini Obsidian Football is the first Obsidian Football set since the 2024 edition, after the brand sat out the 2025 season. The base set runs 99 cards, numbered 1 to 100 with no card 49. College players on the base checklist include Josh Hoover (1), Julian Sayin (23), CJ Carr (59), Bryce Underwood (85), Dante Moore (93) and Gunner Stockton (97), with Bo Jackson closing the set at 100. Sayin is the player on the box front.

Base parallels in this box are Contour (unnumbered), Red /149, Blue /75, Green /49, Gold /10, Mojo /5 and Platinum Marble 1 of 1. Deep Sea Mojo /21, Lava Flow /7 and Neon /3 are exclusive to the separate First Off The Line boxes, so they do not come out of this standard hobby box.

Signatures come from eight sets. Color Burst Signatures (25 cards), Cosmic Storm Signatures (23), Gravitational Signatures (23) and Seismic Signatures (25) are autographs, while Dual Materials Ink (23), Eruption Material Autographs (25), Lava Jersey Autographs (25) and Orbital Jersey Autographs (25) pair the signature with memorabilia. Peyton Manning is card 1 in Color Burst Signatures, Drew Brees is card 1 in Lava Jersey Autographs and Gunner Stockton is card 10 in Orbital Jersey Autographs. The memorabilia sets are Galaxy Materials (29), Jersey Embers (20), Magmatic Memorabilia (24) and Supernova Swatches (25).

Inserts are Atomic Initials (25), Fire and Ice (25), Nucleus (24) and Vitreous (24), plus Black Color Blast (20), Black Color Blast Dual (4), Black Stained Glass (19) and Black Stained Glass Dual (5). Most autograph, memorabilia and insert sets carry numbered Red, Blue /49, Green /25, Gold /10, Mojo /5 and Platinum Marble 1 of 1 parallels.
