That is 40 cards before the booster pack: the Meowth ex plus the 39 Trainers.
Built for players, not just collectors
The 39 Trainers are the point. Trainer cards are what a deck runs on and what new players are always short of, so this is aimed at someone moving from opening packs to actually building something. The dividers and the guide are there for the same reason. Published coverage describes the Trainers as Supporter, Item and Pokemon Tool cards of the kind used in Championship play, and product photos show staples such as Boss's Orders, Dawn and Special Red Card among them, in standard art rather than illustration rares.
The box front carries a Play Level 2 marker and the 2026 date, and it calls out the 40 useful cards inside.
About the product
The Pokemon Company International announced the Deck Crafter's Collection in August 2026 for an October 23, 2026 retail release. Coverage at the time described it as a smaller follow up to the earlier Trainer's Toolkit products. The included booster pack is a single random pack; which expansion it comes from has not been published, so we do not name one here.
