Why an Elite Trainer Box
The Elite Trainer Box is the standard way into 151. It pairs nine booster packs with the full-art foil Snorlax promo, which comes packaged in the box rather than from a pack, plus everything needed to sleeve and play a deck: Energy cards, damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die and condition markers, all stored in a collector's box with dividers.
About Scarlet and Violet 151
151 is the most collected modern Pokemon set there is. It brings back every one of the 151 Pokemon originally discovered in the Kanto region, in Pokedex order, and The Pokemon Company lists it at over 160 cards with 12 new Pokemon ex and more than 10 Trainer cards. Each evolution chain is drawn by a single artist. The official card list runs to 207 cards: the main set is numbered 001 to 165, followed by illustration rares, ultra rares, special illustration rares and hyper rares numbered past 165.
The chase
The chase runs through the Venusaur ex (198/165), Charizard ex (199/165) and Blastoise ex (200/165) special illustration rares, with the Mew ex hyper rare (205/165) and the Zapdos ex special illustration rare (202/165) behind them. Alakazam ex (201/165), Erika's Invitation (203/165) and Giovanni's Charisma (204/165) round out the special illustration rares. Which cards land in any pack is random.
