About the set
Pokemon GO released on July 1, 2022 as a special Sword and Shield era expansion built with Niantic around the mobile game. It holds 88 cards: 78 in the main set plus 10 secret rares numbered 079 through 088. Cards in this set are the only Pokemon TCG cards that carry the Niantic copyright alongside the usual Pokemon ones, which is a genuine oddity for collectors.
The set carries 3 Radiant Pokemon, 13 Pokemon V, 2 VMAX and 5 VSTAR. The mobile game shows up in the card design too, with Poke Stops and the game's catch ring appearing as artwork on Trainer cards.
Pack or Premier Deck Holder?
A single pack is the cheapest way into the set. Pokemon GO also came in Premier Deck Holder collections and Pin collections, which bundle packs with a promo and accessories, but the pack is the only configuration where every card is still a genuine unknown.
What to chase
Radiant Eevee is the card most people open this set for, and Radiant Pokemon are limited to one per deck, so it plays as well as it collects. Above it sit the secret rares, led by the Mewtwo V alternate art, with Mewtwo VSTAR and Dragonite VSTAR behind it as the other cards that carry the set.
Cards worth the rip
Pulled at random, never guaranteed. Print runs and card numbers are from the manufacturer sell sheet and the set list.
- Radiant Eevee Radiant Pokemon, one per deck, the set's signature card
- Mewtwo V alternate art Secret rare, top of the set
- Mewtwo VSTAR VSTAR
- Dragonite VSTAR VSTAR
- Secret rares 079 to 088 10 in the set
- Radiant Pokemon 3 in the set One per deck
