The biggest set of the Sword & Shield era

Fusion Strike is the largest English set Pokemon has ever printed at 264 cards before secret rares, and it is the set that gave collectors the Mew VMAX alternate art that still anchors the entire Sword & Shield era. Elesa's Sparkle, Gengar VMAX and the Espeon and Umbreon lines fill out a chase list deep enough that a sealed display is still worth opening on camera.

The set released November 12, 2021 as part of the Sword & Shield series. The main set runs to 264 cards, and published checklists number 20 more cards past that, from 265 to 284, for 284 in all. The set is built around the Fusion Strike battle style, with Mew V and Mew VMAX (113 and 114) and Gengar V and Gengar VMAX (156 and 157) at the center of it.

What collectors chase
