About Fusion Strike
The Pokemon Company released Sword & Shield Fusion Strike on November 12, 2021, with over 260 cards and the debut of the Fusion Strike battle style, with more than 20 new Fusion Strike cards. Fusion Strike is the largest English Sword & Shield set ever printed: the published card list runs 264 main set cards with secret rares numbered up to 284. It is also the home of the Mew VMAX alternate art that drove the whole set's reputation.
That Mew VMAX alternate art is card 269/264, a secret rare. It shares the alternate art slot with Espeon VMAX (270/264) and Gengar VMAX (271/264), and the Mew V alternate full art sits at 251/264 inside the main set numbering. Genesect V and Hoopa V are among the other Pokemon V the manufacturer called out for the set.
