The four promos
The promo you get depends on the deck inside. The four are Delphox (MEP 074), Ampharos (MEP 075), Crobat (MEP 076) and Goodra (MEP 077), all from the Mega Evolution Black Star Promos. Each box holds one of the four.
How it plays
The Build and Battle Box is built for Prerelease play. Players compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play, instead of the usual 60-card deck and six Prize cards. The deck features key cards from current and prior expansions, and the four Chaos Rising booster packs let you tune it with new cards. Select Play! Pokemon stores began selling the box on May 9, 2026, ahead of the expansion's May 22, 2026 release.
About Chaos Rising
The Pokemon Company released Mega Evolution Chaos Rising on May 22, 2026, with more than 120 cards, including new Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, more than 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 Pokemon and Trainer cards with special illustrations. Published checklists count 122 cards: 86 in the main set plus 36 secret rares. Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex lead the set, and Mega Gallade ex appears as well. Each booster pack holds 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy and 1 Pokemon TCG Live code card.
