About the set

Chaos Rising released on May 22, 2026 and is the fourth main expansion of the Mega Evolution Series. It runs 86 numbered base cards, 001/086 through 086/086, plus 36 secret rares numbered above 086, for 122 cards in total. The English set adapts the Japanese expansion Ninja Spinner. Three new Special Energy cards close out the base numbering: Bubbly Water Energy 084/086, Magnetic Metal Energy 085/086 and Nitro Fire Energy 086/086.

Packs come in four different artworks, all illustrated by akagi, featuring Mega Greninja, Mega Floette, Mega Pyroar and Mega Dragalge. We cannot promise a specific artwork.

The chase

The base set holds 10 Double Rares, five Mega Evolution Pokemon ex and five Pokemon ex. Above the base numbering sit the secret rares: Ultra Rares, Illustration Rares, Special Illustration Rares and one Mega Hyper Rare. That Mega Hyper Rare is the gold Mega Greninja ex at 122/086, the last card in the set. Mega Greninja ex also turns up at 022/086, at 100/086 as an Ultra Rare and at 116/086 as a Special Illustration Rare. Mega Dragalge ex sits at 065/086 with a Special Illustration Rare at 118/086. Mega Pyroar ex is 015/086, Mega Floette ex is 035/086 and Mega Gallade ex is 048/086.
