About the set
Chaos Rising is the fourth main expansion of the Mega Evolution series, released in English on May 22, 2026. The set runs 122 cards: an 86 card base set numbered 001/086 through 086/086, then 36 secret rares numbered 087/086 through 122/086. Published counts for the individual rarities disagree between card databases, so we do not quote them.
TPCi's own card count claims for this expansion are over 120 cards, more new Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, more than 25 Trainer cards, and more than 35 Pokemon and Trainer cards with special illustrations.
What the chase looks like
Six Special Illustration Rares sit at 116/086 through 121/086: Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Dragalge ex, Cinccino ex, AZ's Tranquility, and Roxie's Performance. The set closes with one Mega Hyper Rare, Mega Greninja ex at 122/086. Below those are 10 Double Rare ex cards, five Mega Evolution Pokemon ex and five non-Mega: Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Dragalge ex, Mega Gallade ex, Beedrill ex, Gourgeist ex, Krookodile ex, Cobalion ex, and Cinccino ex. Any of them can turn up in any pack, or in none of them.
How this compares to the other configurations
This display carries 36 packs. The Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box carries 11, the standard Elite Trainer Box 9, the Booster Bundle 6, and the Build and Battle Box 4, so 36 is the largest pack count of any Chaos Rising configuration. What it does not carry is anything besides packs. The official expansion page lists the Booster Display contents as booster packs only: no promo card, no deck, no accessories. The Elite Trainer Box includes a full art foil Fennekin promo, the Pokemon Center version includes two of them with one carrying the Pokemon Center logo, and the Build and Battle Box includes a 40 card deck with 1 of 4 unique foil promos. There is no autograph guarantee on this box, and this set has no autograph cards.

How many packs are in this box?
36 booster packs. That is the largest pack count of any Chaos Rising sealed configuration. For comparison, the Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box has 11 packs, the standard Elite Trainer Box has 9, the Booster Bundle has 6, and the Build and Battle Box has 4.
What is in each pack?
The Pokemon Company states that each Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution Chaos Rising booster pack contains 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy, and 1 Pokemon TCG Live code card. That is the manufacturer wording and we are quoting it as written.
How many cards are in the whole box?
We do not print a box level card count. TPCi does not publish one, and its per pack sentence is ambiguous about whether the Basic Energy sits inside the 10 cards or on top of them.
What are the pull rates?
None are published. The Pokemon Company does not release pull rates or per box averages for Pokemon booster product, and no retailer sell sheet we could read states any. Pulls are random and never guaranteed.
Is there a promo card in the box?
No. The official expansion page lists the Booster Display contents as booster packs only, with no promo, no deck and no accessories. The promos live in the other configurations: a full art foil Fennekin in the Elite Trainer Box, two Fennekin full art foil promos in the Pokemon Center version with one carrying the Pokemon Center logo, and 1 of 4 unique foil promos in the Build and Battle Box.
Are there autographs in this product?
No. This configuration carries no autograph guarantee, and this set has no autograph cards.
How big is the set and what sits at the top of it?
122 cards total: an 86 card base set numbered 001/086 through 086/086, plus 36 secret rares numbered 087/086 through 122/086. Six Special Illustration Rares sit at 116/086 through 121/086 and the Mega Greninja ex Mega Hyper Rare closes the set at 122/086.
Why do you not list a count for each rarity?
Because the card databases disagree with each other. Published Illustration Rare and Ultra Rare counts differ from site to site, and one of those sites has a rarity table that does not add up to its own stated set total. The only per rarity figures that held up across sources are the six Special Illustration Rares and the one Mega Hyper Rare, so those are the only ones we print.
Is Booster Display the same thing as Booster Box?
Yes. For this product they are the same 36-pack configuration.
Is this factory sealed?
Yes. Every sealed product we sell is factory sealed and unopened. We ship within 24 hours, tracked, from our shop in Plains, PA, just outside Wilkes-Barre, and local pickup is always welcome.
Manufacturer sell sheet information, hit rates, and configurations are subject to change and are shown as a guide. Pulls are random and never guaranteed.
