About the 30th Celebration
The 30th Celebration expansion released September 16, 2026, on the same day worldwide, the first Pokemon TCG expansion to do that. Every card in a 30th Celebration booster pack is foil: five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy card designed by YOSHIROTTEN, and The Pokemon Company states that one of the 30 different Pikachu rare cards is in each pack. Greninja and Sylveon both appear as brand new Pokemon ex in this expansion.
The expansion carries 30 different Pikachu rare cards, each with its own illustration. It also introduces a new rarity, the Futuristic rare, with visuals by YOSHIROTTEN, starting with Mewtwo and Mew. Classic cards return with a new foil treatment, including the Base Set Charizard and Pikachu & Zekrom-GX from Sun & Moon Team Up. Those reprints are not Standard legal, and the Classic Collection subset is not legal for tournament play. The rest of the expansion is legal for tournament play from September 25, 2026.

Two versions: the day-themed Sylveon ex box and the night-themed Greninja ex box. The promo card and the oversize card inside a box feature the same Pokemon, so a Sylveon ex box holds both Sylveon ex cards. Both versions are packed under one case configuration and the manufacturer states no ratio, so the mix is assorted rather than counted.
