About the 30th Celebration
30th Celebration marks 30 years of the Pokemon Trading Card Game. The Pokemon Company gives it a release date of September 16, 2026 and calls it the first expansion to have a simultaneous global release. Cards from the set are legal for Play! Pokemon tournament play as of September 25, 2026.
The set is built around foil. Every card in a 30th Celebration booster pack is foil, Basic Energy included: five foil cards, one foil Basic Energy card and one code card for Pokemon Trading Card Game Live. The Pokemon Company states that one of the 30 different Pikachu rare cards is in each pack, drawn in 30 different styles by different artists.
The expansion also adds Futuristic rare cards designed by YOSHIROTTEN featuring Mewtwo and Mew, and the Classic Collection, older cards reprinted with a new foil treatment, including Charizard from Base Set. Classic Collection reprints are not legal in the Standard format.

The poster and the promo cards
The poster is what sets this one apart. It is printed on both sides and shows images of over 160 cards from the expansion, which makes it both a wall piece and a reference for what the set holds. The Pokemon Company does not say how those images are split between the two sides.
The three promos are Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, the Legendary birds of the Kanto region. All three are listed contents rather than a random insert, and card numbers for them have not been published. On pack count this one sits in the middle of the lineup, above the Knock Out Collection at two packs and below the Elite Trainer Box at nine.
