About the set
Bowman University is the Topps line for the college class, and University's Best is a hobby only release: Topps issued it in this single hobby box format. The box reads Bowman U Best and carries Drew Mestemaker of Oklahoma State and Bear Bachmeier of BYU on the front. The 2026 checklist is led by Arch Manning and CJ Carr, with Arch Manning, Bryce Underwood and CJ Carr among the signers. Carr is base card 49, and Manning appears in the autograph sets, Best of 2026 Autographs (BOA-AMA) and Big Kahuna Autographs (BK-AMA), rather than in the 100 card base set. Other base cards include Lotzeir Brooks of Alabama (1), Bear Bachmeier (12), Bo Jackson (54), Drew Mestemaker (97) and Bryce Underwood (100). No player is promised in any box.
High school cards
The set also carries high school cards of Josh Allen and Peyton Manning. The Best of High School Tribute insert shows Allen at Firebaugh High School and Manning at Isidore Newman School, and each has an autograph version (HSTA-JA and HSTA-PM) in a two card autograph set. That is the sort of card that keeps a college product moving long after the season ends.
Parallels and inserts
The 100 card base set runs a full Refractor ladder: unnumbered Refractor and Shimmer Refractor, then Yellow Lazer /250, Aqua Lava /199, Pink Lava /175, Blue Refractor and Blue X-Fractor /150, Green Mini-Diamond /99, Purple Lava /75, Gold Refractor and Gold Lava /50, Orange Mini-Diamond /25, Teal /15, Black /10, Red /5 and the SuperFractor 1/1. The insert sets are Best of the Best, Bowman Showpieces, Campus Crests, Send the House, Tone Setters, Workhorse, Best of Mascots, Best of Stadiums and Best of High School Tribute.
The autographs
The autograph checklist covers Best of 2026 Autographs, Big Kahuna Autographs, Bowman Showpieces Autographs, Super Saturday Signatures, Workhorse Autographs, Best of Mascots Autographs and the High School Tribute autographs, plus Dual, Quad and Hexagon Autographs. Relic autographs come in two sets: Prospect Relic Autographs with game-used memorabilia, and Behind the Seams Dual Relic Autographs with player-worn swatches. The Topps box print notes that autographs may be redemption cards with expiration dates.
