About the set
Chaos Rising released on May 22, 2026 as part of the Mega Evolution series, which follows the Pokemon Legends: Z-A era. It is a compact expansion at 122 cards: 86 in the main set plus 36 secret rares. The English set is built from the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion.
Five Mega Evolution Pokemon ex lead the set: Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Dragalge ex and Mega Gallade ex. Mega Evolution ex cards carry high HP and heavy attacks, and they give up three Prize cards when knocked out, which is why they shape both the format and the chase.
The secret rares break down as 11 Illustration Rares, 18 Ultra Rares, 6 Special Illustration Rares and 1 Mega Hyper Rare. Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex and Mega Dragalge ex sit among the Special Illustration Rares at 116, 117 and 118, and the Mega Greninja ex Mega Hyper Rare closes the set as card 122.
