About the set
Phantasmal Flames is the second main expansion of the Mega Evolution Series, set code PFL. Released November 14, 2025. The base set runs to 94 cards. Counting the secret rares numbered 095 through 130, the expansion is 130 cards.
The expansion breaks down as six Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, four Pokemon ex, 13 illustration rare Pokemon, 17 ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, Trainer and Energy cards, and five special illustration rare Mega Evolution Pokemon ex and Supporter cards. Reverse holo and master set totals differ between public checklists, so we quote none.
Some Mega Evolution packaging was misprinted saying a pack includes either an Energy card or a code card. The Pokemon Company corrected that in July 2025. Packs include both.
The chase
Mega Charizard X ex is the card this set is known for, and it shows up more than once. It is 013 in the base set, 109 in the ultra rare run, and 125 as a special illustration rare. Card 130, the last number in the set, is a Mega Hyper Rare Mega Charizard X ex.
The other special illustration rares are Rotom ex at 126, Mega Sharpedo ex at 127, Mega Lopunny ex at 128 and Dawn at 129. The illustration rare run, 095 through 107, is Ludicolo, Nymble, Dewgong, Piplup, Yamper, Zacian, Flygon, Paldean Wooper, Toxtricity, Togedemaru, Wigglytuff, Meowth and Ambipom. There are no autograph, relic or memorabilia cards anywhere in this product, so none are offered or guaranteed.
Buying a single pack
This is one pack, not a share of a box. A pack can come and go without a card worth sleeving. If you want volume, buy volume.
- Four wrapper designs are in circulation for this expansion, showing Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar, Mega Heracross and Mega Lopunny.
- Wrapper art says nothing about what is inside, and we cannot promise a specific wrapper.
- Some cards tied to this expansion were packed only in other sealed products, such as the Charcadet promo from the Elite Trainer Box. Those are not included here.
Cards worth the rip
Pulled at random, never guaranteed. Print runs and card numbers are from the manufacturer sell sheet and the set list.

What exactly do I get for this price?
One factory sealed booster pack from Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames. The pack holds 10 cards, plus 1 Basic Energy and 1 Pokemon TCG Live code card.
Does a single pack carry a share of any box average?
No. A single pack is its own random pull and carries no portion of a box or case average. Buying one pack does not entitle you to any rate of rares, and a pack can contain no hit at all.
What are the odds of pulling a special illustration rare?
The Pokemon Company publishes no pull rates for this set. Third party sample numbers circulate online and contradict each other, so we do not quote odds in any form.
Can I pick which wrapper I get?
No. Four wrapper designs are in circulation for this expansion, showing Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar, Mega Heracross and Mega Lopunny. Wrapper art does not indicate what is inside, and we cannot promise a specific wrapper.
Is there an autograph or a relic card in here?
No. Every card in this 130 card expansion is a Pokemon, Trainer or Energy card. There are no autograph, relic or memorabilia cards in this product, so nothing of that kind is offered or guaranteed.
How many cards are in the set?
94 cards in the base set. Counting the secret rares numbered 095 through 130, the expansion is 130 cards. Public checklists disagree on reverse holo and master set totals, so we do not quote one.
Does the pack really include both an Energy card and a code card?
Yes. Some Mega Evolution packaging was misprinted saying a pack includes either an Energy card or a code card. The Pokemon Company corrected that in July 2025 and confirmed packs continue to include both.
Are the Suicune, Reshiram or Genesect promo cards included?
No. Those were retailer gift with purchase promos at launch, not pack contents, and they are not included with this listing.
Is the Charcadet promo in this pack?
No. That promo was packed with the Elite Trainer Box, not inside booster packs.
Is this factory sealed?
Yes. Every sealed product we sell is factory sealed and unopened. We ship within 24 hours, tracked, from our shop in Plains, PA, just outside Wilkes-Barre, and local pickup is always welcome.
Manufacturer sell sheet information, hit rates, and configurations are subject to change and are shown as a guide. Pulls are random and never guaranteed.
