Holiday parallels
The Holiday base parallels are exclusive to this box, which Topps calls a Value Box exclusive, so they do not come in hobby or jumbo boxes. Topps names Jack O'Lantern, Ghost, Mummy, Black Cat, Witches Hat and Bats designs. The published checklist runs the scarcer designs down to serial numbered tiers, ending at a Bats 1 of 1. Retail boxes also carry the Holo Foil parallels, from Holo Foil, Pink Holo and Aqua Holo up through numbered Holo tiers to a Rose Gold Holo 1 of 1.
Topps sells this configuration as the Value Box; it is the same box many collectors call a blaster.
About the set
Update Series is the half-season flagship: the 350-card base set covers trades, call-ups, rookie debuts and the All-Star Game, and it is where most of the year's first flagship rookie cards land. Topps headlines it with Season Highlights cards of Pete Crow-Armstrong and Shohei Ohtani. Rookies on the published checklist include Konnor Griffin (US1), Justin Crawford (US2), Carson Benge (US3), Kevin McGonigle (US7) and Travis Bazzana (US75), with Munetaka Murakami on a Rookie Debut card (US350). Inserts include 1991 Topps Baseball, All Aces, All Kings, Heavy Lumber and the 20 card Home Field short print.
