About the set
Elite returned as a standalone baseball brand for 2026 and released on July 3. The base set is 200 cards, split evenly between 100 veterans and stars and 100 Elite Prospects. Paul Skenes, Bobby Witt Jr. and Roman Anthony are among the headline names, and the prospect side carries Eli Willits, Travis Bazzana, Ethan Holliday, Konnor Griffin and Kade Anderson.
Elite uses its two signature names, Aspirations and Status, as parallel tiers. The unnumbered looks are Green Disco, Mixorama, Orange and Razzle Dazzle. The numbered run starts with Aspirations Shimmer and Status Explosion at 499 and steps down through Blue at 199, Purple at 49, Bronze at 35, Black at 25, Gold at 10 and Platinum at 3, with Elite and Printing Plates as one of ones.
What is in the case
- 20 factory sealed 2026 Donruss Elite Baseball mega boxes
- 10 packs per box, 4 cards per pack, 40 cards per box
- 12 inserts or parallels per box on average
- 1 Silver Status parallel per box on average, exclusive to the mega box
Those are sell sheet averages for a single box, not a count for the case. The mega box averages include no autograph, so there is no autograph guarantee. Panini's mega box copy names Instant Impressions, Elite Signatures and Genregraphs autograph content, and any signature is a long shot rather than an expectation.
What retail carries that hobby does not
The Horizontal Kaboom is retail exclusive, with Gold parallels numbered to 10 and Green one of ones. Short-printed Razzle Dazzle parallels and Green Disco parallels are retail only as well. Those fall across retail formats rather than being concentrated in mega. The Silver Status parallel is the one piece specific to the mega box.
Who a sealed case suits
A case of mega boxes suits group breaks, prospect collectors working the Elite Prospects half of the checklist, and anyone chasing the retail-only Kaboom and Razzle Dazzle cards at volume. The hobby box is a different product, 20 packs of 5 with 2 autographs and 20 inserts or parallels per box on average, so hobby is the format built around autographs.

What comes in each mega box?
10 packs of 4 cards, 40 cards per box. The sell sheet lists 12 inserts or parallels plus 1 exclusive Silver Status parallel per box on average.
