Condition

This tin has a small tear in the plastic wrap on the front. The tin is factory sealed, with the tear limited to the outer plastic packaging. Please factor this into your decision, especially if you collect sealed product for display.

What is in the tin

The sticker printed on the wrap reads: Includes 4 Diamond & Pearl Series boosters and 1 of 3 special foil Diamond & Pearl cards. For this tin, the special foil card is Torterra LV.X, visible through the window. The product listing for the North American tin names the four packs as 2 Diamond & Pearl booster packs and 2 Diamond & Pearl Mysterious Treasures booster packs, each with 10 randomly inserted cards, and notes that packs may vary by product. The window lid is designed to display a favorite card after opening.

The Torterra LV.X promo

Pokemon LV.X cards debuted in the Diamond & Pearl expansion as the ultimate level of a Pokemon's training, placed on top of the matching Pokemon in play. The Collector's Tins came in three versions, Torterra LV.X, Infernape LV.X and Empoleon LV.X, one for each Sinnoh first partner, and each tin carries an alternate art promo of its LV.X card. This one is Torterra LV.X, numbered DP09 in the DP Black Star Promo series.

The sets inside

Diamond & Pearl is a 130-card expansion, released in 2007, with three Rare Holo LV.X cards: Empoleon LV.X (120/130), Infernape LV.X (121/130) and Torterra LV.X (122/130). Mysterious Treasures is a 123-card expansion released later in 2007, with Rare Holo LV.X cards of Electivire (121/123), Lucario (122/123) and Magmortar (123/123), plus Time-Space Distortion at card 124. Booster pack contents are random, and no specific card is promised from any pack.
