About the 30th Celebration
30th Celebration marks 30 years of the Pokemon Trading Card Game and carries a release date of September 16, 2026, the first Pokemon TCG expansion with a simultaneous global release. Every card in a 30th Celebration booster pack is foil, Basic Energy included, and The Pokemon Company states that one of the 30 different Pikachu rare cards is in each pack.
The set is built around 30 different Pikachu rare cards, each in a different art style by a different artist, with OKACHEKE, Yuu Nishida and Atsuko Nishida among them. A Classic Collection subset brings back older cards with a new foil treatment, including Charizard from Base Set and Pikachu and Zekrom-GX from Sun and Moon Team Up. Futuristic rare cards designed by YOSHIROTTEN feature Mewtwo and Mew, and the foil Basic Energy in each pack is a YOSHIROTTEN design too.
Illustrations run on a day and night theme, with Espeon and Umbreon on either side of it. Pokemon ex in the expansion include Mewtwo ex, Mew ex, Umbreon ex, Salamence ex and Greninja ex, and Sylveon and Greninja both join the set as brand-new Pokemon ex. Cards from the expansion are legal for Play! Pokemon tournament play as of September 25, 2026. Classic Collection cards are not legal in the Standard format.
