About the set

Series 1 covers the Kanto, Sinnoh and Alola first partners. The Series 1 promo checklist is 9 cards, numbered MEP 037 through MEP 045: Bulbasaur 037, Charmander 038, Squirtle 039, Turtwig 040, Chimchar 041, Piplup 042, Rowlet 043, Litten 044 and Popplio 045. Those nine sit inside the wider MEP Black Star Promos numbering, so 9 is the Series 1 checklist, not a full set count.

The Series 1 promos are Holofoil Full Art cards in the illustration rare style. Saboteri is credited on Bulbasaur 037, Turtwig 040 and Popplio 045. We have not verified the illustrator on the other six, so we do not list them. The international release date was March 20, 2026.

The promo pack holds 3 of the 9, and which three is random. We make no claim about how that trio is distributed.

The connected artwork

Two of the trios line up into one larger picture. Turtwig 040 forms a combined illustration with the MEP promotional Chimchar and Piplup. Popplio 045 forms a combined illustration with the MEP promotional Rowlet and Litten. That makes the Sinnoh three and the Alola three worth chasing as complete panels. We have not confirmed the same for the Kanto three, so we are not claiming it.

Series 1 against Series 2 and Series 3

The numbering keeps them apart. Series 1 is MEP 037 to 045. Series 2 is MEP 046 to 054. Series 3 is MEP 055 to 063. The nine Series 1 promos do not turn up in the Series 2 or Series 3 boxes, so this is the configuration that produces the Kanto, Sinnoh and Alola first partners in this treatment.

  • No parallels, variants or numbered print runs are documented for the Series 1 promos in any source we checked. Treat that as none found, not as proof that none exist.
  • We do not name the two booster packs. The sources describing this product do not agree on which sets they are, and the packing list does not name them.

03Questions

You have questions. The family has answers.

Straight answers from people who open this stuff for a living. Message us on TikTok if yours is not here.

What is actually inside the box?

One promo pack containing 3 of the 9 Series 1 promo cards, two Pokemon TCG booster packs, and one sticker sheet. That is 3 packs per box in total.

How many of the nine Series 1 promos will I get?

Three of the nine, in one promo pack. Which three is random. We do not make any claim about which cards come together, and there is no guarantee of any specific card.

Are the three promos always from the same region?

We do not claim that. The sources that describe this product do not agree on how the trio is distributed, and we could not verify a manufacturer statement either way. Treat the three as random from the nine.

Which two booster packs are included?

The packing list calls them Pokemon TCG booster packs and does not name the sets. Published descriptions disagree on which sets they are, so we will not name one. We also cannot verify how many cards are in those two packs, so we do not state a cards per box total.

Are there autographs in this product?

No. There are no autographs, signatures or relic cards in this configuration.

What are the odds of pulling a specific promo?

There are no published pull rates, per box averages or print run figures for this release. Anything you see quoted as odds is somebody's sample from opening product, not a manufacturer number, so we do not publish any.

Is this the same thing as Series 2 or Series 3?

No. Series 1 is MEP 037 to 045 and covers Kanto, Sinnoh and Alola. Series 2 is MEP 046 to 054 and Series 3 is MEP 055 to 063. The nine Series 1 promos do not appear in the other two boxes.

Are there parallels or numbered versions of these cards?

None are documented in any source we checked. That is none found rather than a manufacturer statement that none exist, so we list no parallels.

Does it include a Pokemon TCG Live code card?

We do not list one. The contents lists we were able to verify do not mention a code card, so do not buy this expecting one.

When did it release?

March 20, 2026 internationally.

Is it factory sealed?

Yes. Every sealed product we sell is factory sealed and unopened. We ship within 24 hours, tracked, from our shop in Plains, PA, just outside Wilkes-Barre, and local pickup is always welcome.

Published card counts vary between sources, so we do not quote a total set size. Manufacturer sell sheet information, hit rates, and configurations are subject to change and are shown as a guide. Pulls are random and never guaranteed.
