About the set

Attack of the Vine prereleased in game stores on July 17, 2026 and released everywhere on July 24, 2026, published by Ravensburger. The Vine has overrun Lorcana, and the set brings in glimmers from Pixar's Up, Monsters, Inc., and Turning Red alongside the classic characters. Ravensburger also uses the set to rotate the Core Constructed format: once it is legal, only Fabled, Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, Wilds Unknown, and Attack of the Vine remain in Core.

The headline mechanic is the Team classification for Shift. In the words of Ravensburger's game design director, Team allows any character with the same name as one of the characters in the team to act as the shift base, so a two-character card can be played on top of either namesake. The set release notes add Duo Shift (shift onto two of your characters at once), Combo Shift (onto one or two named characters), Temporary Shift (the character returns to hand at end of turn with its damage removed), and Potato Shift, which shifts onto an item instead of a character.

Enchanted cards in this set are illustrated in a style modeled on pulp movie posters from the 1950s to the 1970s. Above them sit the two Iconics, the rarest cards in the set, with extra foil treatments and movie-poster art: Lilo & Stitch - Fun-Loving Friends and Belle & Beast - Certain as the Sun.
