House of the Dragon Series Two is Rittenhouse's trading card set for the second season of HBO's House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel, and it follows Rittenhouse's House of the Dragon Season One set from 2024. The box and the sell sheet print Series 2, the base set's episode cards cover the eight Season 2 episodes, and every autograph in the set is signed on card.
What is in the box
- Packs: 24 packs of 5 cards, 120 cards
- Autographs: 2 autograph cards per box, all signed on card, listed at 1 in 12 packs on the checklist
- Relic: 1 costume relic card per box, single, dual or triple, listed at 1 in 24 packs
- Base parallels: Gold foil at 1 in 24 packs, Red foil numbered to 50, Holo foil 1 of 1 and 1 of 1 printing plates
- Sketch cards: hand-drawn by over 30 artists, 1 per 16 box case, so most boxes do not have one
Rittenhouse's original sell sheet listed 3 big hits in every box, with at least 1 autograph card and 1 relic card, and named autographs, relics, sketch cards and 1 of 1 printing plates as the big hits. Rittenhouse's product page now lists 2 autograph cards and 1 relic card in every box and 1 hand-drawn sketch card in every case. Autograph styles on the checklist include Inscription, Quotable, Canvas, Full Bleed, Gold and Black, Silver, Bordered and Thrones and Dragons cards, plus Autograph Relic cards of Ewan Mitchell as Prince Aemond Targaryen and Tom Glynn-Carney as King Aegon II Targaryen, and Dual Autographs of Elliott and Luke Tittensor and of Eve Best and Steve Toussaint. Signers include Emma D'Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, Milly Alcock, Paddy Considine, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Phia Saban, Steve Toussaint and Harry Collett. Rittenhouse's checklist key marks Scarce autographs at 100 or fewer copies, and some inscription autographs carry a quantity range of 1. Which signer and which relic land in a given box is random.
About the set
The base set runs 65 cards. Cards 1 to 24 give three cards to each of the eight Season 2 episodes, from A Son for a Son through The Queen Who Ever Was, and cards 25 to 65 are character cards, from Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen to Lord Borros Baratheon. Every base card has a Gold foil parallel, a Red foil parallel numbered to 50, a Holo foil 1 of 1 (Holo Silver on the checklist) and four 1 of 1 printing plates, one in each print color.
The insert lineup on the checklist: JJ Lendl Triptych Episode Poster cards (54 cards, 1 in 8 packs, three for each of 18 episode titles from The Heirs of the Dragon through The Queen Who Ever Was), with an artist signed version numbered to 25; Artist Rendition (18 cards, 1 in 24 packs) and Relationships (18 cards, 1 in 24 packs), each with Red parallels numbered to 50 and Holo 1 of 1 parallels; Laser Cut Character (36 cards, 1 in 24 packs); All Must Choose (10 cards, 1 in 48 packs) with a Metal parallel numbered to 25; Dragons and Riders, The Green Council and The Black Council (9 cards each, 1 in 48 packs); 18 Metal ArtiFEX Character cards numbered to 25; and House of the Dragon Stamp cards numbered to 35. Dragons and Riders pairs each dragon with its rider, among them Syrax, Caraxes, Vhagar, Meleys, Seasmoke, Sunfyre and Vermithor.
Some content is counted by the case, not the box. Each 16 box case carries one hand-drawn sketch card and one metal case topper, either Blood for Blood (CT1) or Fire to Fire (CT2) from the checklist's Metal Motto set. The Dual Autograph incentive cards, Emma D'Arcy with Matt Smith and Rhys Ifans with Olivia Cooke, are listed at one per 8 case order.
Rittenhouse marks the sell sheet and its checklist subject to change without notice. Pulls are random and never guaranteed.
