About the set
This collection released on July 3, 2026 as part of the Mega Evolution series. The promo is Mega Greninja ex MEP Black Star Promo 081, an etched foil with alternate artwork by 5ban Graphics, and the oversize lenticular card carries the same artwork. Mega Greninja ex first appeared in the Chaos Rising expansion, which released May 22, 2026 with 122 cards and where it holds the Special Illustration Rare at 116 and the Mega Hyper Rare at 122.
The card is built to deal damage from the bench. Its Mortal Shuriken Ability lets you discard a Basic Water Energy from your hand once per turn, while it is in the Active Spot, to place 6 damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokemon. Its Ninja Spinner attack does 120 damage plus 80 more if you return an attached Water Energy to your hand, for up to 200. It has 350 HP and, like every Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, gives up three Prize cards when knocked out.
