Paldean Fates released on January 26, 2024 as a Scarlet and Violet special set built entirely around Shiny Pokemon. It runs 245 cards: 91 in the main set and 154 secret rares. The structure is the important part. Every single secret rare in the set is shiny, which is why the set has a reputation for being worth opening rather than just collecting. Inside that secret rare run there are 11 Shiny Pokemon ex, seven Pokemon ex and three Tera Pokemon ex.
The pack structure is worth knowing before you open. Baby Shinies, the common-rarity shiny Pokemon such as Pichu and Igglybuff, and the full art Shinies both land in the first reverse holo slot rather than the main hit slot. That means a pack can look ordinary and still be carrying the card you wanted, so check the reverse holo slot before you sleeve anything.
