What is in the box
Signs of a Champion on-card signatures run roughly seven to eight per case. The rest of the box draws from the premium parallel and memorabilia pool across football, basketball, baseball and hockey. Leaf's published checklist has no base set: every card on it is either an autograph or a memorabilia card, and every one is serial numbered, with the most plentiful versions numbered to 40 and the scarcest to 1 of 1. Leaf notes that printing plates were also made for this product.
Autographs
Signs of a Champion is a 29 card on-card signature set, including Reggie Jackson, Wade Boggs, Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Bernie Williams, Vince Wilfork and Dave Cowens. It comes in Prismatic, Crystal, Kaleidoscope and Shimmer versions numbered from 10 down to Gold 1 of 1, plus Red Flood and Super Prismatic Gold 1 of 1s. Ring Team signatures feature championship-winning stars such as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Emmitt Smith, Joe Montana, Kevin Garnett and Mariano Rivera, and Heart of the City is a 62 card signature set of its own. Multi-signature sets include Championship Quad, We Are The Champions and We're #1, and Auto Memorabilia pairs a signature with memorabilia from names like Nolan Ryan, Jerry West and Roger Staubach. At the top sit the Cut of a Champion autographs, each a 1 of 1, of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Greenberg, Tom Landry and Walter Payton.
Memorabilia
The memorabilia side runs through Championship Material, a 79 card set that stretches from Derek Jeter and Mickey Mantle to LeBron James and Tom Brady, plus multi-player builds in Winning Combo, Title Trio, MVPs, Bling Town, Title 8 and the eight-player Book of Champions. A Stitch in Time memorabilia cards, including Joe DiMaggio, Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan and Derek Jeter, are numbered to 3 or less.
