About the set
Chrome Platinum 55 is the 2025 edition of Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary Baseball, released June 5, 2026. It takes the dual-image 1955 Topps layout and prints it on Chrome, with a 500-card base set covering active stars, rookies, fan favorites, and all-time greats. Every autograph in the product is on-card.
The 1955 theme runs through the inserts: 1955 World Series (10 cards) marks the Dodgers and Yankees Fall Classic, 1955 Topps Double Headers (20 cards) revives the dual-player format, and 1955 Topps Rails and Sails (20 cards) rounds out the set. Hobby boxes carry two short-print chases: 1955 Topps City Variations, roughly 80 horizontal cards with a city skyline behind the player, and 1955 Cards That Never Were, a 20-card case hit for players missing from the original 1955 set. Base Image Variations (40 cards) and 1955 Topps Employee Super Short Prints (10 cards) complete the SP lineup.
The parallel structure is deep: 36 parallels in total, running down to Orange /25, Black Refractor /10, Red Refractor /5, and Superfractor 1/1. Autograph parallels are Refractor /199, Gold Refractor /50, Red Refractor /5, and Superfractor 1/1, and the hobby-exclusive City Variation Autographs are numbered to 5 with a Superfractor 1/1.
