Why this release matters
Donruss WNBA released on October 23, 2025, and it marks the brand's return after a multi-year absence. The 2019 edition was both its debut and the last time Panini issued it, so this is the first Donruss WNBA set in years and the first to carry Rated Rookie cards for this class.
The base set is 85 cards with a 15-card Rated Rookie run on top. Rated Rookie is the Donruss signature, and this class is led by Paige Bueckers and Sonia Citron, alongside Hailey Van Lith, Dominique Malonga, Kaitlyn Chen, Te-Hina Paopao, Saniya Rivers, Kiki Iriafen, Georgia Amoore, Aneesah Morrow and others.
The parallel ladder
The ladder runs 28 levels, which is unusually deep. The unnumbered tiers are Cubic, Dragon, Green Laser, Green Shimmer, Holo WNBA Logo and Lava. The numbered run then goes Red Lava and Red Shimmer to 399, Red Holo to 299, Orange Laser and Orange Lava to 199, Teal Laser to 125, Purple Laser, Purple Lava and Purple Shimmer to 99, Light Blue Lava to 75, Blue Laser and Blue Shimmer to 49, Artist Proof, Pink Laser and Pink Shimmer to 25, Holo Team Logo to 13, Gold Shimmer to 10, Black Gold Laser and Yellow Lava to 5, and three separate one of ones: Black Holo Press Proof, Black Shimmer and Holo Black Laser.
Inserts and autographs
Downtown is the headline, debuting for the WNBA in this release, and it is the insert most likely to outgrow the set. Night Moves is the ultra rare chase. The wider insert list runs to 1997 Pinnacle WNBA Executive Collection Retro, Champions, Championship Moments, Courtside, Crunch Time, Finals MVP, Franchise Features, Mascots, My House, Net Marvels, Parade, Road To The Finals, Season Highlights and Tunnel Vision.
Autographs come from Rated Rookie Signatures, Legendary Signatures, Signature Series and Voices of the Game Signatures, plus Private Signings and Next Day Autographs, which are hard signed rather than sticker signed.
Hobby, blaster or mega
This hobby box is 96 cards with three autographs or relics. The blaster is 6 packs of 15, 90 cards, with blaster-exclusive Lava and Laser parallels and no autograph guarantee. The mega is 10 packs of 15, 150 cards, with one autograph or memorabilia card per box on average. There are 16 boxes to a hobby case.
