About the set

2025-26 Topps Chrome Black Basketball released on August 27, 2026 and brings the dark, shadow-driven Chrome Black design from baseball and football to the NBA. The base set runs 150 cards: 100 veterans and stars at 1 to 100 and the rookie class at 101 to 150, led by Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey. Every base card has a numbered Refractor run from the Base Refractor (/299) through Blue, Green, Purple, Gold, Orange, Rose Gold, White and Red Refractors to the SuperFractor 1/1. A Rookie Design Variation adds a second rookie run with Gold (/50), Orange (/25), White (/10), Red (/5) and SuperFractor 1/1 parallels.

Inserts are Black Lightning (24 cards, with Victor Wembanyama), Nocturnal (20 cards, with Giannis Antetokounmpo), Home Court (10 cards, now on Chrome with a darkened background), and the two new super short prints Carbon Flare (20 cards, Kon Knueppel) and Obscura (15 cards, Luka Doncic), each capped by a SuperFractor 1/1.

The encased autograph in every box comes from Autographs, Rookie Autographs, Carbon Ink, Super Futures Autographs, Black Fire Autographs, Shrouded Signatures, the new Glow Up Signatures rookie set, and Ivory Autographs, a white-and-gold legends design headlined by a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar SuperFractor 1/1. Rookie Autographs include Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, Derik Queen and Cedric Coward; Topps shows a Flagg Rose Gold Wave Refractor numbered to 15 and a Dylan Harper Glow Up Signatures Red numbered to 5.

Hobby box or Instant Packs

The hobby box is the only sealed format: 2 packs of 6 cards plus the encased autograph, 8 boxes per case, with the full parallel and insert lineup. Two online-only parallels, Black Glitter (/11) and Teal Glitter (/64), belong to Topps' digital Instant Packs and are not part of this sealed box. Buy the hobby box for sealed wax and an autograph in every box. Pulls are random and never guaranteed.
