About the set
Topps Chrome Basketball is back for the 2025-26 NBA season, and the release came out on December 18, 2025. The base set runs 299 cards of rookies, veterans and legends, with the rookie class numbered 251 to 300: Cooper Flagg at 251, Dylan Harper at 252, VJ Edgecombe at 253, Kon Knueppel at 254 and Ace Bailey at 255. The autograph checklist runs from Flagg, Harper and Bailey to LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Victor Wembanyama. Gold NBA Logoman Relics numbered to 4 headline the full release, but the odds sheet gives no Mega Box rate for them, so treat them as a hobby chase rather than something to expect here.
What makes the Mega Box different
X-Fractors are the Mega Box exclusive, listed at 1:1 packs. One note on the box: Topps has said the packaging and an early graphic called them Blue X-Fractors, but the X-Fractors in this product are silver. RayWave Refractors fall at 1:3 packs, and their colors climb from Aqua through Blue, Green, Purple, Gold, Orange and Black to Red at 1:3,097 packs. Standard Refractors fall at 1:4 packs. The numbered color Refractors run from Magenta, numbered to 399, up to Red, numbered to 5, and the Superfractor sits at 1:107,293 Mega Box packs.
Inserts and short prints
The Mega column carries the retail insert set: Go Time and Ball of Duty at 1:16 packs, Inspirational at 1:20, and Activators and Serenity at 1:27. Shared inserts include Sleek Finishers at 1:36, Destiny at 1:43, Instinct at 1:54 and Youthquake at 1:72. The Fanatical insert falls at 1:144 packs, with Cooper Flagg at FAN-21. Retail short prints Paradox and Patented sit at 1:466 packs, Glass Canvas at 1:699 and Advisory at 1:709, and Helix and Ultra Violet appear at far longer odds. Hobby content such as Tall Tales and X's and Whoa's has no Mega Box rate.
Autographs
Topps states no autograph count for the Mega Box. Autographs do have Mega Box rates on the odds sheet, among them Topps Autograph Issue at 1:622 packs, Future Stars Autographs at 1:810, Stratospheric Signatures at 1:1,073, Chromographs at 1:1,431 and Topps Chrome Autographs Rookies at 1:1,547. At those rates, an autograph in a 7-pack box is a long shot, and the box is best bought for the X-Fractors, RayWave colors and rookie base cards.

What comes in a 2025-26 Topps Chrome Basketball Mega Box?
7 packs with 6 cards in each, 42 cards in total. The box carries Mega Box exclusive X-Fractors at 1:1 packs, RayWave Refractors at 1:3, and the retail insert set. No autograph is guaranteed.
Are the X-Fractors blue or silver?
Silver. Topps has said the packaging and an early graphic referred to Blue X-Fractors, but the X-Fractors contained in the product are silver. The box front still reads Blue X-Fractors.
Does a Mega Box have an autograph?
Not guaranteed. Autographs such as Topps Autograph Issue, Future Stars Autographs, Stratospheric Signatures, Chromographs and Topps Chrome Autographs Rookies have Mega Box rates on the odds sheet, but at long pack rates, so most rips will be base, Refractors, X-Fractors and inserts.
