What a Tmall box actually is
Tmall is the Chinese retail platform Panini distributed this configuration through, so these boxes were never sold into the North American hobby. That is the whole reason they are worth seeking out: the Wave parallels inside them can only have come from an Asia release, and the supply in the United States is whatever was imported rather than whatever was printed.
The packaging carries Chinese market text alongside the Panini branding, which is the quickest way to tell a genuine Tmall box from a domestic one.
The Wave exclusives
Blue Wave and Red and Gold Wave Prizms are the configuration's reason to exist. The Gold Wave is numbered to 10, which puts it among the tighter parallels of the entire 2021-22 Prizm run, and neither appears in a hobby, retail or choice box sold domestically.
Why the 2021-22 class matters
The base set runs 330 cards, and the rookie run sits at roughly 271 to 330. That class is the reason this year of Prizm still gets opened: Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes and Jalen Suggs all have their flagship Prizm rookie cards here.
Prizm rookies are the cards a basketball class is indexed on, so a Wave parallel of one of those names is a card that exists at the intersection of a strong rookie year and a distribution nobody outside Asia could buy from.
What to expect
Sixty cards with no stated autograph guarantee for this configuration. Treat it as a parallel box: you are opening for the Wave cards and for rookie colour, not for a per-box signature.
