The Sapphire Edition went on sale as a Topps online exclusive on August 26, 2026, five weeks after the regular Chrome release. Print runs are a fraction of the flagship Topps Chrome release. The rookie class on the checklist includes Samuel Basallo at card 7, Kevin McGonigle at 16, Konnor Griffin at 74, Kazuma Okamoto at 78, Jac Caglianone at 131, Jacob Misiorowski at 196, Roman Anthony at 225, Tatsuya Imai at 242 and Munetaka Murakami at 274.
